that was Established in 1930 by the eminent astrophysicist and former
MP Prof. Megnad
Saha
and his younger brother Dr. (Capt.) K.L.Saha.
In 1962 the Company started the manufacturing and marketing of Non-Destrcutive Testing
(NDT) and Specialty Maintenance products under a foreign Technical Collaboration
under the brand name of ARDROX.

General Information
The Oriental Chemical Works (P) Ltd. was Established in 1930 in Kolkata, India. The Company in 1962 was the first to introduce ARDROX range of Liquid Dye Penetrant Inspection materials and Specialty Cleaners in India essentially for the Aerospace and Heavy Engineering Industry. In 1972 the Company started indigenous production of the ORION range of liquid dye penetrants, magnetic particles and specialty cleaners in India for a wider application in the Indian industries. Today, ORION products are at par with all international brands in its segments, offering very cost effective prices along with technical and logistics support, throughout India.
Technical Features
The Production facilities are located in three units in Kolkata and Howrah and includes more than 45,000 sq. ft of manufacturing, analytical, research & development and warehousing facilities. The Production related activities include modern plant & equipment supported by the analytical and quality control laboratory with the latest testing equipment to ensure compliance to quality and relevant specifications. The Company’s production and quality control management system is certified to ISO 9001 : 2015.
Research & Development
Our Research & Development wing is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The main responsibilities of the R&D are product up-gradation and redesigning formulations to suit the market needs and newer specification requirements.
