General Information

The Oriental Chemical Works (P) Ltd. was established in 1930 in Kolkata, India. The Company in 1962 was the first to introduce ARDROX range of Liquid Dye Penetrant Inspection materials and Specialty Cleaners in India essentially for the Aerospace and Heavy Engineering Industry. In 1972 the Company started indigenous production of the ORION range of liquid dye penetrants, magnetic particles and specialty cleaners in India for a wider application in the Indian industries. Today, ORION Non-destructive products match in quality in equal terms with international brands and are reliable and very cost effective with excellent technical support.

Research & Development

Our Research & Development wing is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The main responsibilities of the R&D are product up-gradation and redesigning formulations to suit the market needs and newer specification requirements.
